Creative days

I know for sure that everyone loves Creatives Festivals: to know new people from the most important creative studios, to watch interesting case histories about brands or marketing stuff and, of course, exchange views and information.
Finally, this year, I will go to OFFF Barcelona (oh well, I still have to get the Festival’s ticket, but at least I bought the flight).
I can’t wait to know new people from the creative industries and talents from around the world!

Okay, first things first.

1. BERLIN GRAPHIC DAYS // 3-5 February // BERLIN //Day ticket: 5 euros – Festivalticket: 8 Euro (valid for the complete 3 days!) //
More than 80 national and international designers, illustrators, silkscreeners, and many more kind of artists emerging from a large range of graphic fields will present and sell their artworks. Berlin Graphic Days is THE crossroad between exhibition, festival, market and sale. There is also an Opening Party!

2. PECHA KUCHA // 1st February // AMSTERDAM // 10 € //
PechaKucha was founded in Tokyo in February 2003 as an event for young designers to meet, network, and show their work in public.
It has turned into a massive celebration, with events happening in more than 1,000 cities around the world. The strict format makes presentations concise and very visual and keeps things moving at a rapid pace.
A friend of mine, Francesco Zorzi, will have a speech there!

3. OFFSET // 17-19 February // DUBLIN // Tickets //
Offset has fast become one of the world’s most inspirational, educational and vocational conferences for the design and creative industries.
4. OFFF BCN // 6-8 April // BARCELONA // 163.35€ //
It is more than just a Festival hosting innovative and international speakers, it is more than a meeting point for all talents around the world to collaborate, it is more than feeding the future. OFFF is a community inviting all those who are eager to learn to participate and get inspired by a three-day journey of conferences, workshops, activities and performances. What is it about exactly? It’s a combination of Offline/Online designers, Motion Designers, Thinkers, Sound Designers, Graphic Designers, Theorists, Developers, Professionals, Students… Putting the titles aside, OFFF is made for the curious.
5. PICTOPLASMA // 10-14 May // BERLIN // 290€ //
Conference and Festival of Contemporary Character Design and Art. From May 10 to 14 Pictoplasma transforms Berlin into the world’s most vibrant meeting point for a diverse scene of artists and creatives, trailblazing the face of tomorrow’s visual culture.
6. BLEND FEST // 26-27 May // VANCOUVER // ops, sold out //
It all began when Jorge & Claudio started a Vimeo channel called WINE after COFFEE, curating their favourite videos in one place.
That channel grew and grew, and today has over 30K followers. The heart of Blend and WINE after COFFEE is to be a place, online and offline, where people from all around the world come to share awesome work, get inspired, learn, and collaborate. Because when we get together, amazing things happen.
7. HERE // 9th June // LONDON // 85£ Student – 185£ Standard Ticket //
Here is It’s Nice That’s annual symposium held at the Royal Geographical Society in west London on Friday 9 June. The one-day event brings together a vast array of the most exciting creative talent from the UK and abroad for inspiring and entertaining talks exploring creative processes and ideas.
8. ANIMAFEST // 5-10 June // ZAGREB //
This is a festival by the filmmakers for the filmmakers. Creative animation, in all its different forms – from traditional drawings, to stop motion, CGI, to most experimental cross-media explorations. Animafest Zagreb is a place of inspiration, creativity, exchange of ideas, innovation, communication and international diversity. Z… is for Zagreb!”

So, guys, see you in Berlin and Barcelona!
