Creative Podcasts

I’m working in a music industry, and even if I really love music, sometimes I need a moment for me and listen to NOTHING. I love to listen to my breath or the ambient sounds BUT sometimes I enjoy the time at work listening to creative podcasts, about designers or illustrators or motion graphics.It’s so inspiring to get a sneak peek into creative’s day to day activities. I know for sure that you can find a lot of nice stuff in this podcasts.

This is my fave list:

1. ANIMALATORS //Animalators was conceived in the offices of Identity Visuals, where Samuel Cowden and Zac Dixon wanted to create something that would encourage, inform, and inspire the animation community on a regular basis. There are no specific qualifications for the interviewees—they’re simply people their find inspiring. Check it out, it’s amazing.
2. DRIBBBLE //On Overtime, Dribbble’s official podcast, they share in-depth interviews with your favourite designers. Twice a month they’ll be speaking to Dribbblers about their process, the tools they use, and we’ll get the stories behind their most popular shots. Overtime is hosted by Dan Cederholm, designer and Co-founder of Dribbble.
3. MOTION SICKNESS // The Motion Sickness Podcast is a bi-monthly podcast that features a mix of interviews with the top level creative forces in the Motion Graphics industry, the illest designers who are flying under the radar, and those brave souls who’ve left the business altogether. It will also serve as a personal platform for the host, Brian Michael Gossett, to share personal stories and anecdotes, advice, and a multitude of other fun stuff that comes up as the show evolves.
4. FACTORY BERLIN //The Factory Podcast is a unique collection of talks and discussions recorded in front of a live audience at Factory Berlin. Eavesdrop as founders and industry veterans share their expertise.
5. BEING BOSS //Being Boss is a podcast for creative entrepreneurs with Emily Thompson & Kathleen Shannon. Their listeners want to “be boss.” They are the rebels, the quiet ones, the schemers, and the dreamers! So their stories, advice and interviews are about being boss the way their choose, and being who they are in work and life!
6. CREATIVE MORNINGS // I took this words from their Manifesto “Everyone is creative. A creative life requires bravery and action, honesty and hard work. 7. STACK MAGAZINE // “Conversations with independent publishers, telling the stories behind the stories in some of our favourite magazines.”
8. PRESENTABLE // A podcast about the way we design and build the products that shape our future. Hosted by 9. CREATIVE CHIT CHAT //It’s a series of informal conversations with creative people who are either working in and around Dundee or have ties to the city. The aim of this project is not to create polished interviews with high production values, it’s to have open, relaxed and honest conversations with brilliant people.
10. SKWIGLY ANIMATION PODCASTS // “Skwigly is the longest running UK based animation magazine and community. We love animation; love seeing the animation, hearing about animation, talking about animation and showcasing animation.”
11. MAKE IT THEN… TELL EVERYBODY // A podcast about how comic artists do what they do. Made by Dan Berry, a comics teacher.
12. INTERFACE LOVERS // “Interface Lovers is an online magazine for creative professionals. We put the spotlight on designers that are creating the future and touching the lives of many. We ask them essential questions to gain insights that can push and inspire the rest of us. Interface Lovers is a peek into what turns the best designers on about pixels and perfection. We also feature a collection of mixes brought to you by your favourite designers.”
The Design Jones is a podcast featuring the very best of the UK creative industry. An opportunity for them to tell their stories, experiences and views.
14. HURRY SLOWLY // Hurry Slowly is a new podcast about how you can be more productive, creative, and resilient through the simple act of slowing down.
15. HEROINE // Heroine is a podcast that shares real, deep, and meaningful stories from top creative women leaders about their personal and professional journeys.
16. MOTION HATCH // A bi-weekly programme hosted by Hayley Akins, discussing the business side of animation and motion design.
